Hi there-
I'm new here too- transplanted from that "other" site :-D
I'm also from the Baltimore area . . . . Go O's. Although that loss to the Brewers last night was pathetic
I subscribe to the BBB method and use pucks too- so don't despair. I typically drain 1/2 to 1/3 of my pool to winterize so CYA buildup has not been a problem. And Hey- when my pH drops, borax is cheap. Those pucks are just so darn convenient.
I am planning a pool rebuild for next year with a new winterization process that won't require so much draining- so I'll probably get away from pucks.
What Leslie's do you use? I need to upgrade my testing equipment and at the local Namco, I can only find strips.
