My pool pump is leaking when it's running but it's been difficult to really see where it's leaking. I've pulled it apart and checked the gasket which is in quite good shape (I replaced about a year ago) and re-lubed it, reassembled, but same leak. Pool starts up with air in line and takes a bit to get going. After pump stops you can hear the sucking in and around the pump. Is it time to replace, or is there something else I can do to seal this leak.

Having to refill pool every few days - it is very hot as well so there's that factor. Anyone have other troubleshooting tips - or link to a former question.

Great video here on process:

Bought a gasket kit from local store, had a bunch (but not all!) of the gaskets needed.

Will chime in once complete, believe it was the seal plate gasket.
