This will be my third spring trying to get the Hayward On-Command wired properly to a EcoStar IS3401VSP pump

Does anyone have updated wiring instructions.

I have one set of instructions that wires the pump to the Hayward control on the pump and uses the COMBUS ports to the ON-Command
A second set of instructions that eliminate the Hayward Pump wiring and go direct to the On_command

Two different people at Hayward give me two different answers and either way I cannot get the pump and the On-Command to operate properly without error codes

It sure sounds to me like you may have a hardware problem at the pump or On-Command and not a wiring problem.

A couple of things.
1) How are you wiring them together?
2) What are the errors that you're getting?

You should be connecting terminal 2 on the Remote RS-485 terminals of the command unit to terminal 7 on the ComBus terminal on pump drive, and 3 on the Remote RS-485 terminals of the command unit to terminal 8 on the ComBus terminal.
