Winterizing effect on plaster

I am contemplating winterizing a gunite spa. As part of that I would need to lower the water level about 6 inches below the tile which would expose the plaster. Couple questions:

- how long does it take for the plaster to dry out so that it doesn’t crack during a thaw freeze cycle if the temp gets below freezing
- if there is enough time for the plaster to dry out what are the effects over the winter. The spa will be covered with a heavy cover.

Thanks

Plaster does not absorb water. The water on the plaster surface will evaporate in a few hours.

None. The exposed plaster will be fine.
