I'm going to be buying a cover from INYO. What one do I need?!

for a 24' AG round they have;
1. 8yr Denalie for $60
2. 15yr for $100
3. 20yr Everest for $130

What the difference going to be?

Also do all these covers stop water coming in or do some let water in?

I think Kim is pushing for the cheap ones. I had some time to actually search (sorry I should do that more) and it seems like that might be the consensus, go cheap.

It does look like some of these covers are a mesh which will let water in your pool. This will leave some slightly dirty and cloudy water when you open next season. The Pro to the mesh is its lighter and you don't need to drain the cover.

The solid covers are heavier and you have to drain them before taking them off. And some say drain throughout the closed season. I prefer this type because the few years I have had my pool I used a solid cover and it has opened very clean and draining isn't really a concern to me because I have a cheap siphon tool I put in and is very easy to to use. Even when the siphon tool froze it still worked when thawed.

Can you elaborate on the siphon tool?

Wow that's a cool device.... I just a micromesh cover but was considering switching to solid cover but was concerned how to pump water off the cover. I like my micromesh cover a lot, it's great but it takes a long time to vacuum the fine dirt in the spring.

I use 3/8 clear plastic tubing inside of leftover 3/4" grey plastic conduit. Cut a roll of tubing in half, push thru conduit, drop in pool. Cover end with hand, create vacuum while watching for water in tube. Plenty outside to direct away from pool. I drilled holes in the ends of the conduit and tied string that I loop over fence post on my pool fence to help get them out if they go in too far.
