Winter Closing in Iowa

So I'm closing my pool up in Iowa. I have the winter cover and the winter wrap. I got it all done and my winter pillow must have gotten a hole in it and deflated. Do I need to take everything back off again and put another pillow in or is it ok without one? I really don't want to unwrap everything again! Thanks

Abandoning pillows is a right of passage IMO. You have to have X amount of them pop on you before you try the other way. Everyone has a different threshold. I don't believe anyone has every gone back to pillows, after not using pillows. Like. In the history of pools.

Thank you! I wasn't sure if it was going to cause damage to the frame when the water freezes. I have it drained below the intake.
