Will SWG damage a heat pump if the heat pump is after the SWG?

We have two choices to install a new heat pump for our pool. The existing plumbing would allow us to add it after the SWG, or we would have to tear out all the plumbing and redo to get the SWG after the heat pump. Heat pump manual says to plumb any chlorinator after the heater.

Question is, we usually have to run the SWG on a pretty low setting, so would it be ok to install the heat pump after the SWG for now?

Definitely want the SWG last. PVC is a lot cheaper than hydrogen gas collecting in your heater until it explodes.
