I can’t figure out why my pool won’t hold chlorine, the rest of my numbers are correct? Any ideas? I’ve added 2 gallons of liquid chlorine (10%) and then tested the next day, still at 0…. Then I SLAMMED the pool with Clorox shock, still zero! 32,000 gallon pool

Welcome to the forum!
What Taylor kit are you using?
What does the pool water look like?
I suggest you read through Pool Care Basics - Trouble Free Pool and even look at a few of our videos TFP-TV - Trouble Free Pool
Thank you so much! I am using the Taylor 2005C test kit, and the water is completely clear! My husband says just to leave it alone (since the pool looks great), but I know there is something off!
I read through all the basics, the test and the balancing and still can't figure out my problem. Super frustrating! I also just bought the FAS -DPD reagent but its still in transit from Amazon.

You need to add chlorine every day. Have you?
I suggest you do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test. Raise the FC to at least 6 ppm using liquid chlorine this evening and follow the process. You may have issues doing the test as you do not have the FAS-DPD test in your kit that is most accurate for FC.

I would be careful using Clorox products. They typically have things in them you do not want.

Also, SLAM is not a one time addition of chlorine. It is also a process. See SLAM Process

Thank you! We put chlorine tabs in one of those float things that do slow release, and add chlorine every other day, not every day so maybe thats my problem?! I won't use Clorox again and opt for liquid chlorine.... I cant wait til my FAS - DPD test comes in!
