Why so much dirt at the bottom?

Pool was vacuumed yesterday, today there is minimal stuff on the bottom. Going to run the SLAM until tomorrow just to make sure.

Thanks for all the advice. One more question, not sure if this should be here or a new thread...should I be adding anything (other than chlorine) to prevent algae in the future? I see so many algaecides in the stores & online (I think I even have a bottle of No Mor Problems somewhere) but not sure if they work/are worth it.

As long as you follow the FC/CYA Chart and keep your chlorine at the top of your target zone you do not need any algacide. Algacides don't do much good, and if they contain copper they can do a lot of harm. Copper levels can build up and cause staining on pool surfaces and gives blondes a green tinge that is hard to get rid of.
