Hello! 🌞 I am new to pool care and I buy muriatic acid from Home Depot. When I was pouring out the last bit from one jug, I noticed a thick white sediment at the bottom. I didn't pour it into the pool and set it aside since I wasn't sure if that was normal. A similar thing happened a few jugs later. My questions are:

-Is this normal?
-Is it ok to pour the white sediment into the pool?
-If not, how do I safely dispose of it?

Thanks very much for your help! :)

No.

No. 2nd rule of TFP...know what you are adding to your pool, and why you are adding it.
-If not, how do I safely dispose of it?
How much is left in the jug? Do you have a laundry sink in the garage or in a basement you don't care about? If the volume is small, put the jug in the sink, add baking soda fairly slowly until it stops foaming up, then pour down the drain with the water running.
