White lines and spots on pool bottom

Hi all. First I want to say this website is fantastic. We bought our pool 4 seasons ago and I started with TFP from day one. I have never had an issue, followed everything to a T, and our pool has looked amazing every year. We have crystal clear water when we open and close. Here is my issue. These lines started appearing after the first year and more spots are appearing. They are getting ‘whiter’ each year. I have never dumped anything directly into my pool. I am the only one who takes care of chems. Everything goes thru the skimmer. I use 12.5 liquid bleach from Menards for the last 2 seasons but the lines started before that. I look at it and check it daily with weekly tests on everything. We don’t drain it completely each year but down past the skimmer. I rarely have to adjust anything in the pool other than adding chlorine. It would be impossible to create a line like this anyway because it’s 10ft long and straight from center out?? I am baffled. I thought calcium but my number is 100. The texture is like the slickness of the vinyl is gone. Not rough, just dull. Pool is almost in full sun till 5:00pm. I have gone over every scenario and searched the internet and can’t find anything.

Any suggestions are appreciated

A few crazy ideas -

1. Animal burrowing under the liner;
2. Nearby second story window focusing sunlight like a magnifying glass;
3. Aliens

Occam’s Razor - the explanation with the least speculation is usually correct....

(It does not appear to be a chemical issue)

I had thought of a mole of something but it would leave an indention. We live in a ranch house, so no second story windows, I am going with aliens, like crop circles. They just appear.
