two issues/questions. I am replacing an old Whisper dual speed pump with Whisper VST and updating the existing old Hayward intelligent panel with a omniPL retro kit with daughter board for Pentair.
First, the orig Pentair pump had 3 AC connections labeled 1,2,3or4(plus ground) in the pump and the new has 2 (plus gnd of course). I assume connect each of the new with a 120 leg (plus gnd ) and discard the third leg.
Second, any advice on the Omni as I know they dont play well together but do work- I see some say that the AC should be applied on the supply side and not the load side of the relay so to have a constant power to pump- Anyone know? and any other advice would be appreciated- minus returning the hayward and buy a pentair panel :) not a option.

THX all!'

Power to the pump should be constant. That means straight from the breaker if possible. Control is then through a communication cable, 356324Z, that probably didn't come with the pump (though it may have). The third wire in a two-speed motor is for one of the two speeds and can be removed so that there are only two wires plus ground (green).
