Where to get Aussie test kit urgently as blind SLAMing in SEQLD 😅

G’Day folks, im in South East QLD Australia, and a rogue newbi to SLAMing but desperately trying to eradicate mustard brown algae in multicoloured pebble crete pool with glass media filtration and salt cell, but using super shock and liquid chlorine for SLAMing….and i started 6 days ago working by sight and semi educated guesswork on dosages ( ikr!) until i could buy a test kit…but i still havent obtained one and dont want to get a wrong kit as i havent won the lottery yet and cant find where i seen link to it in TFP and worried it will be from overseas and therefore un-obtainable right now! I’d really appreciate some helpful direction to get test kit now to see my levels and know how to continue with SLAM. Thanks in advance! LOU

Hi and thanks. One question, seems you say different test kit depending on method but are you referring to SLAM chlorine method or usual pool maintenance method? Have salt water cell usual method but have it turned off in favour of using 2 days hyclor super shock then 3 days hyclor liquid chlorine, so far… and im onto 6th day unsure just how much chlorine i should apply. I was hoping the test kit recommended for SLAM would also be able to be used for general maintenance testing also, or is that wishful thinking?

usual pool maintenance method

Usual pool chlorinating. If you have a salt water chlorine generator, get the salt kit.

The only difference is the salt test is included...which you will need for the cell when you balance your water.

The salt kit is still the same for every other test, so it will work for SLAM....and liquid chlorine.
