Where do I find the test or reading for Salt for CSI?

Hi - New Pool Owner, and I recently ordered the TF-Pro Salt test kit. I decided today to figure out about CSI. I have 0 borates, water temp is 65, but where do I get the "salt" reading from? There was no salt tester in my test kit. Do I get it off the salt cell itself. My FC was up to 9 last week so I cut the salt down from 10% to 4%, but this week it's up to 10. I don't know what is making it so high. My pH is 8.2 (which I will add some acid tomorrow), my TA is 80, my CH is 225 (I will add some calcium tomorrow), and my CYA is 50 (had been 60, so I will add some tomorrow). So, I guess, two questions - how do I test for salt and what would be making my chlorine high?

If you received the TFT Pro with Salt then there should be 2 reagents in the kit. These are R-0630 and R-0718.
You use 10ml pool water sample. Instructions should be in the kit as well. Please confirm you have these 2 reagents.

My FC was up to 9 last week so I cut the salt down from 10% to 4%, but this week it's up to 10. I don't know what is making it so high.

The sun angle has changed with moving into Fall so the UV burn off is much less. While reducing the output from 10% to 4% was correct, it takes time for FC to deplete with minimal UV and possibly no bather load. I am experiencing the same with mine in south Texas. You could turn down the SWCG to 0% for a day or 2 and test. Then turn it back up to 4-5%.

Also, it is quite common that your test result will be different from the read out on the SWCG. Do not let that be of concern. I always use the valve from the test result. Each SWCG measures Salt in their own way and is usually an average of what is going through the sensor at any given time. So long as your SWCG is happy and producing Chlorine that is all that matters. Also, your test value could be +/-200ppm because each drop is 200ppm so a drop either way is the variable of the test. Your test result should be used for Pool Math so it will use that to calculate CSI.
