Yesterday, son-in-law getting ready to vacuum the pool, removes the skimmer basket. My three year old grandson, standing on the other side of the pool, throws a diving dart into the air. Yes, straight into the running skimmer and made it around the first elbow! Even though you could still see the tip, grabber claws wouldn’t work! A small shop vac filled way too quickly to do anything! We struggled for two hours!
So, S-I-L says, let’s try this. He went over to the pump, set the shop vac to blow, and blew it right back into the skimmer!
