Water is still only around 65' but we got a solar cover this year, hopefully that will help a little. Kids were in it over the weekend though, I'll wait about 10 more degrees.
Kids have been swimming all week since Memorial Day. Pool has been warming from 74 in the morning to a high of 77 in the late afternoon. Too cold for me but I think the kids would swim at 53°.
Well, all week except for yesterday. Rain all through the day yesterday. No swimming for the kids and no bike riding for me.
78 and holding. First year with the pool and only using a solar blanket. We are really happy espicailly with the weather and temps being all over the place. The air temp has not gone over 85 degrees either
79-80. It hit 81 in the pool yesterday afternoon and I swam for the first time this year. With the temps in the 100's, 110 two days ago, and the overnight low's in the high 70's low 80's I figure it won't be long till it hits the high 80's in the pool. Don't really have the need for solar covers or heaters here in the desert!
Had it up to 85 for the last several days, then the thunderstorms came through last night......dropped it to 80, along with needing to pump 1-1/2" of water out.
I'm at 73 degrees, brrr. My pool never gets warm... even on the hottest days of the year thanks to only getting 2 to 3 hours of sunlight. I'm negotiating with a tree company to remove several trees in the coming weeks and hope to have my pool warm enough to swim in this year.
