My 30 year old Hayward S-200 filter has developed cracks and is leaking in multiple spots around the seam in the middle. It does not appear to be repairable. What type do you guys recommend that I replace it with?
Welcome to TFP! Some info in your signature might help with replies to better evaluate your situation. To get started though, do you plan on staying with sand,? Do you prefer side or top mount valves?
Hayward S-244T is a good replacement for what you have though the valve is on top and would need a more extensive replumb. It is a larger filter than the S-200 and should need backwashing a little less frequently.
