Chlorine
Salt Water Generator
SWG Type
Hayward Aqua Rite (T-15)
The cord between the control board and the temperature sensor on the water pipe was accidentally cut somewhere in the middle.
I tried to splice it back together but its very brittle and old already and did not make good contact, so perhaps its best to get a new wire altogether?

Where to actually buy such a wire without getting a new sensor? And is it actually possible to attach a new wire on the sensor side?
The control board side seems simple as it has screw in terminals for the two leads.

Thanks !

Go to your local hardware store and get some bell wire. It might be a bit stiffer since it’s usually sold copper, but it will work fine.

A new sensor around $100 is not really that cheap, or perhaps its cheap considering what pool stuff generally costs:

Getting a new one comes with the added complication of removing the old unit and sealing in the new unit so that's its watertight.

They are simple to replace it comes with a new gasket/washer and connects with a worm clamp. Take out the old, put in the new. 1 plug on your Aqualink. If your cable is deteriorated that much the sensor is on its way out too. They don't last forever.
