Can someone please tell me what the heck this is and what to do to stop it? Saltwater pool and I find this stuff randomly sometimes in the pool. It feels like crystals but I don't think it's salt. I will walk by and see it, I'll clean it up and go maybe a couple of days before it happens again. Anyone got info?5C0F6126-A3C9-4402-80F8-D5D5F11CDB98_1_201_a.jpeg04C1A4CE-5FB1-49B6-84ED-CBAA1697E920_1_201_a.jpegF398F474-10F2-4A5E-81C3-57A918451977_1_201_a.jpeg323990AC-FAF7-41F5-B3EE-8E31CB489FB1_1_201_a.jpeg

It’s calcium scale from the SWG sluffing off. Post your test results and folks can chime in to better pinpoint how to eliminate or slow it down.

It appears to directly inline with your return so it must be coming from the plumbing. You have an Pentair IC40 SWCG so that would be the first place to look.
Do you use PoolMath app to track your test results? You can use it to track CSI which helps determine the overall balance of your pool water.

Thank you for sharing your PoolMath logs.
As you can see, elevated TA, CH, and pH will result in scale formation in your SWCG.
You have to decide how to control those parameters. Lowering the TA to under 70 ppm will help slow pH rise. CH lowering will take drain and refill with lower CH fill water.

Just looked into your PoolMath. You have a pH of 9.5 logged. I assume you were playing around with parameters. Don't trust that CSI of -1. Just in case you were hoping to find a fix for your problem by increasing pH. I think PoolMath's CSI calculation tables stop at pH 9 - above, it just shows garbage (constant -1):
