NOT MY POOL. Coworker had a pool installed and she thinks she’s missing a part. Her controller (I don’t know what brand but am finding out) is reading an error that it can’t sense the water temp and thus she can’t program her controller.

So Coworker went to a neighbor who had the same installer and equipment and noticed the neighbor has an extra “box” on her equipment. I’m attaching a photo of neighbors equipment and zoomed in on the box. Can y’all determine what this is? And I’m still trying to get more photos and information.

The shape is odd (square) but based on location it looks like a check or one-way valve which prevents acidic water from the chlorine puck feeder from backing up into the system. I can't tell but it doesn't look like there are any wires attached to it. Temp controller typically is installed just after the pump drilled into the PVC pipe.

There is a valve actuator on the ground, so they still have work to do.

I don’t see the temperature sensor, so they still need to add that at the same time.

Also, the pump lid is on backwards.
