What is this yellow ring and how do I fix it?

Hi! 1st season pool owner here! Pool company opened her up this year, shocked her a lot, then claimed the “yellow ring” will go away and the water will clear up in a few days....it’s been 2 days, water isn’t clear and a yellow ring is still visible. I tested the water and am waiting on the necessary chemicals to get levels to where it needs but I am concerned that the yellow ring at the water line has stained the white fiber glass. Any insight will be greatly appreciated!! Photo for reference

What test kit did you use to test the water?

What chemicals are you waiting for?

I doubt the yellow ring is permanent. Chances are it is from algae in your water.

We deal with algae with the SLAM Process

I see no need for soda ash or calcium chloride based on your PoolMath logs.

You need more FC. Add 5 ppm of liquid chlorine daily until you get your TF-100.

When you get your TF-100 post a full set of test results...

If you have the TF-100 then do the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test.

You probably need to SLAM Process once you add stabilizer for CYA 30.

Is the ring around the water line rough? Can you scrape/ rub any off with your finger?
When you opened, did you add a lot of water? Your CH readings haven’t been consistent and dropped quite a bit between the tests.
