What is the Material between Stone Called

I have parts all around my pool that looks like this. It's like grout but looks to have additives added to it. A search in this forum returned some results for mastic but that's not the case here. What is this called that is used between the stone? Any help would be appreciated.

It is usually grout, but it might be mortar or maybe concrete sand/topping mix.

I would use grout.

Usually the same mortar the stones are set in. The sides of the stones are buttered when laid.

Use grout, which is a slightly different mix, to repair the cracks. You will need to try and mix a color to match.
