What is needed to control pool with iPad/iphone

Hello,
I have a question with respect to the compatibility of the Aqua Connect. I currently have the Aqua Rite (not Aqua Rite Pro) and recently
installed the Hayward 'On Command' automation with remote Aqua Pod for my pool.

The Hayward brochures online state that the Aqua Rite Pro is compatible,
but I was wondering if my current setup using the 'On Command' with Aqua Rite is
compatible? I have the RF Antenna as well in order to connect to the AquaPod.

I'm hoping the On Command is my link to the world of phone/tablet automation. If it is, I will buy the AquaConnect asap.

If you are using jandy products, the I-aqualink RS system is the network setup. My PB is currently installing this and I have been doing a lot of reading on it: iAquaLink 2.0

the Hayward rep showed me how to just type in or bookmark the IP address for the Hayward equipment which allows for smartphone control without an internet connection while in your house, and with less delay....

I want to make sure I understand correctly... you don't need the aquaconnect to control your pool remotely with a smart phone using the aquapod's IP address?

No, you would still need the Aquaconnect, it is just running on your network and not through the web....

I went with Pentair. They have everything you need to make this possible if it is a new build.
