Basically what the thread title says.

I'm so done with my Prowler 820 and its "Hey, let's stop approaching the mud in the deep end and go back and do the shallow end I've done 17 times" approach to pool cleaning. I got talked out of upgrading to a remote control unit by my pool builder and have regretted it ever since.

The Polaris P945 caught my attention but I'm looking at the pool robot market with an uninformed eye. I'd like to hear from the voices of experience.

Help!

I have an Aquabot Bravo which I purchased from Aquatic Dist. Man I love this bot. It picks up anything and everything. Even climbs my stairs. It leaves nothing behind on a 1.5 hour cycle in my 18x36 IG vinyl liner pool. I traded in an old bot and received a $400 discount. So I paid around $1400 with a free cart. 4 year full warranty on entire bot.

Good luck.

I ended up ordering the Polaris P965iQ from PoolSuppliesCanada.ca and got it on sale for $1499 CDN ($1100 USD) - regular price $1899 CDN. It arrived on Monday and I tore into the box, eager to give it a go. It's what I wanted in a robot all along. It did the whole pool on the first try; I didn't have to use the remote at all, although I did just for the fun of it. As did the kids.

The only question I have is whether I should spring for the fine or extra fine filter. The filter that it came with is a fine mesh fabric, compared to the corrugated filters that bring to mind my pool cartridges that came with the Prowler. Any thoughts on upgrading the filter?
