What is correct orientation for ps200 shaft seal

After studying the internet last night, i think this orientation they (specifically Inyo) was directing me to. That doesn’t look right and I’m pretty sure that’s not what order I took them out. it may me doubt whether I had the old one correctly installed. In the second picture, is the orientation that was installed. Common sense wise, this makes sense. I.E., The white material should mate/seal with the black part of the piece with the spring installed. education please, thanks

I did That last night. That’s the video I was referencing in original post. That just doesn’t make sense and Inswear my pump was leaking out the bottom when I turned it on. (It was also raining so that’s why I said “I think”
