Hi everyone,

My water heater doesn’t heat, it doesn’t work. The only thing that works is the little screen that tells us the temperature of the water. That’s okay with us because we would never heat the water anyway. The thing is, water still passes through the heater.

My question is, if I disconnect the water heater from the electricity, would the water still pass through? Or does it need to be connected? I have a Nirvana Water Heater.

We are thinking of maybe removing the water heater for the opening next year but for now we are thinking on disconnecting it. We are just concerned that the water will stop passing through the pipes if we were to just disconnect the heater from the electricity.

Hope someone can help

Water will still pass through the heater if you disconnect the electrical to it.

You need to change the plumbing to bypass the heater and stop water from flowing through it.

Thanks! Yes I know I need to bypass the heater. We won’t do that now but once we open the pool next summer.
