What did you do to your pool today?

I did an OCLT last night... It looks like I will be slamming the pool at some point this week, even though my water is beautiful

I've had that happen. If the waters clear and the CC's are low, you'll likely be done with the SLAM in 24-36 hours. Sometimes the algae critters just party a little too hard, get a good colony going and then, BAM!, you gotta show them who's the boss! Go git 'em cowboy!!

A month ago I had visible 1/4" algae spots on benches and rocks. Water was TFPC clear and CC was 0 at all times during a week and a half long SLAM.

Kim,
If your 17yo is anything like my 15yo that would NEVER happen.

What did I do today? Bought more stabilizer. :grrrr: I saw from the previous discussion about other products (i.e. HTH from Wal-Mart) that may have gone bad. My CYA was 40. I added enough stabilizer to go to 60. It started to climb about a week ago. Then yesterday, with no rain or water exchange for weeks, it dropped to 40 again. Weird. So today I bought another brand (100% CYA) from a local store and will throw a sock in it when I get home. I've never had that problem before, but now I'm starting to see why the other thread was so popular.

I haven't done much at the pool. It's been hot but I'm not allowed to swim because I had surgery last week. I tested it n added chlorine. Its fine... Still crystal clear.

Ha, I was that kid too. I am definitely getting a little PAYBACK!!!

Hey Woody, can I send you a pic to see if I lost my bikininess?? :laughblue:

Oh, since this is a pool thread. I threw out some leaves and frogs. And swam. :paddle:
