What are these and what are they for?

What are these pipes with black caps (pic 9281)? Are they part of the caretaker 99 ultra flex? The 8port valve is down by the pool 15 feet away. There is a check valve there, I also would have thought there would be a return to pool / in floor diverter - Tee some place? The return water goes to the pool and in floor. there's no way to divert to just the pool or in floor. Just upgraded to ultraflex 2, the motor burned out.

Those black boxes look like your pool and spa light junction boxes. One for each.

Remove one of them and you should see wires. Be careful if you do that with the power on.

I bet that's it, dah! Thank you! Never had to mess with the lights before, so that's why it was a mystery. I did notice wires going to the control relay box.
