Well, that didn't go as expected.

Just wrapped up a lovely weekend. Sunday evening I'm carrying six dog food bowls for our fur pack like I've done thousands of times. As the backdoor is closing and my hands full, my angel Molly turns her backside around and her tail gets stuck in the door. It literally stripped some flesh off her tail bone. Take a paint brush, dip it in paint, then fling it around your house. That's what we had last night.

Today she is getting taken care of by the vet which I'm confident will be very painful in the checkbook. What a dramatic change of events withing about 12 hours.

My angel Molly.

We had a similar tail problem that appeared much more of a deal than it really was. The vet added some stitches and the bill wasn't terrible. (Although still more than what I wanted to spend on dog care that particular day).

On the plus side, your cell service will be great for a few days once the cone of shame goes on.

Oh that poor pupper! She looks so precious! So sorry to hear about her misfortune. Hopefully she heals quickly and the bill isn't awful.

How the heck she get on the roof?!? That's impressive!

And I'm pretty sure Crocs are not OSHA approved roof walking footwear! :laughblue:

That year I hopped up there to hang the lights and I heard weird animal footsteps behind me. There she was. She climbed up the ladder all by herself. I have to be careful when lower the attic stair as well or she'll get up there too. The problem: Coming down she doesn't like, so I have to carry her down in my arms or over my shoulders.

That's crazy! I've seen a video clip of a dog climbing a ladder onto a roof. Never actually knew someone who had a dog that could do it! Yeah, I would imagine ladders are a little bit of a steep decent for them.

That pic of her on the roof, she reminds me of Mark Harmon's dog in the movie "Summer School". I think it's the ears.

Keep us posted on her recovery!

While not as traumatic as your story, I was just reminded of it.

My boss was late to his staff meeting (we all work remote from home).

His reason?

His dog had an accident in the house, and then the Roomba decided it was time to vacuum. According to him, he had to clean most of the house, and he thinks the Roomba is a lost cause.

Mine defended us from the Roomba which was trying to kill us, the only way he knew how. By dropping a bomb in its path.
