I opened on May 29 to a green pool. I almost had it cleared up and the sand filter blew out the side so I had to wait for a new one and restart June 7. I have added ridiculous amounts of chlorine and my loss for the past 24h is already 16. I ran out a few times so the fc dipped down lower than it should. I’m using new chlorine and reagents. Water is clear. Can someone please look over my records and tell me if I’m doing things correctly?

The last CYA test I see is 30.

SLAM FC for CYA 30 is 12.

Why do I see chlorine being added when FC is higher than that?

Be patient. Your water is clear but if you cannot pass a Overnight Chlorine Loss Test you still have algae you need to get rid of.

Thank you. Yes cya is 40. I think pool math maybe overshooting the chlorine as it’s been higher when checking after adding a few times.

Either your chlorine % is stronger or your actual pool volume is smaller.
