Referring to a picture here with the dogs. I would never had though that a dog would be in one of these pools. Especially that one big dog, it would seem one scratch at the side walls, ( instant hole )

That is why my Mastiff/lab mix is NOT allowed in the pool. He DOES have a pond he can and does get in it.

I've actually let my dogs in once this year for a swim. They walked in on the stairs and I held / guided them for a slow lap around the center of the pool. They both liked it a lot. The big one is a 120lb lab / bernise mountain dog mix.
The "liner" (which is actually also the wall) of Intex type pools is WAY thicker and tougher than the liners for metal walled pools. It is pvc and has fibers embedded in it. It would be pretty hard for a dog to claw through. I have seen lots of images of people using them for dog pools. Some where there is a video of a mama bear and her cubs climbing all over in and out of one.

And the newer steps come with the nameplate that is removable, where the solar light can be installed.
