Waterline Tile/Veneer

Hi, I’m currently about to finish my pool up with plaster. I’d chosen a light white/grey mix NPT ledger stone on my bond beam and around spa—I’ve got a dark ceramic waterline tile with dark grout underneath.

Post installation, I’m getting white residue/staining on the waterline tile. I’m not seeing this on the tile that’s directly under coping, so it’s obviously coming from the veneer.

Assume it’s creating an opportunity for efflorescence—it’s not visible when wet.

Haven’t asked my PB yet, but wanted to know if this is long term or will eventually wash out as the ledgerstone settles in post install.

Any thoughts?
