I have a question about the waterline tile grout color. Our PB just installed the tile and used a light gray grout. When it was installed, it looked great because it was wet and dark gray. Now that it has dried, all we see are vertical white lines in between our darker tiles. So my question is, will the grout above the water line be light gray during the off season when no one is splashing around in the pool? Or does the water seep up and cause the grout to be wet and darker like we prefer?

I'm pretty sure it will be the color it is. Did your pool builder ask you what color grout you wanted?
Nope, they didn't ask. It was the color they always use with this particular tile. And we didn't think to ask. We were too concerned with what tile to choose.

It might need to be cleaned off some. With all the dust from the construction blowing around it will make it look white-ish. Try cleaning it off and see how it looks after it dries.
