Does anyone happen to have a Waterguru with a Hayward SP1091LX? Been going back and forth with Waterguru, but am still looking for clarity or any real world experience with it and my skimmer model.
Interesting. I had not heard of the waterguru before.
I have the same skimmer (SP1091LX). I just went and measured the lid and it is roughly 7 1/2" diameter.
The waterguru website says it works with 8 inch skimmers and has a couple adapter plates to work with larger or smaller skimmers. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work, but you may need one of the adapter rings and then get creative to attach it to the top of the skimmer body.
Yeah it looks promising based on other threads I found on the forum. I was more concerned with the depth of the probe and the skimmer depth (obviously don't want it sticking over the top of the skimmer).
That would be my guess, I'm actually waiting to hear back from them on it. I found this for our skimmer and asked them if it would fit. Haven't heard back yet.
Looks like the guru would be sitting in the skimmer basket. I wonder if that's an issue? Maybe if the skimmer basket is full if debris, it would be an issue? Any chance Hayward makes an extension for the lid to raise it up?
