Waterfall out of retainer wall

Hello everyone. You were so helpful with my last question, I thought I'd try you again.
I don't think there is a solution to this problem but maybe one of you know of something.
We are having a pool built and we wanted a 48" cascading waterfall coming out of the retaining wall. Funny thing is, the builders overlooked it and just built a straight wall with no cut-out for the waterfall. See picture.
Does anyone know of any way to fix this at this point without redoing the wall? Is it even possible to hook plumbing up to it at this point?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I suspect that it wouldn't be too hard to do.

Just have to use a saw to cut out a space for the sheer and then cover it back up.

The plumbing can run to the back of the wall.
