Waterfall flow diverter valve

Hi all,

I just purchased a home with an existing pool and I have a question. There is a waterfall feature with it's own dedicated pump. On the side of the pool, there is a PVC valve, and inlet from the pump, and then it can go to the waterfall, or seemingly out a jet on the side of the pool. The valve allows you to make it all go to the waterfall, all go to the jet, or a mix of both.

Any idea what the jet on the side of the pool is for? It doesn't appear to be threaded, like the outlet for the pool cleaner.

They originally had another dedicated pump for the pool cleaner, but that's dead and was replaced by a robotic unit.

There is a 3rd variable speed pump that is used for the primary filters.

Thanks!

S,

Welcome to TFP... a great place to find the answers to all your "Prison Related" pool questions... :shark:

I would assume the valve just lets you adjust the amount of water going over the waterfall.. The jet line lets any "excess" water back into the pool...

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.
