Water spill feature draining after pump is off

I am having issues with the water feature draining into the pool. I had searched similar threads to no avail. The water feature which resembles a spa but with no heat and has a spill over, is draining after pool pump to the feature is off. The are two pumps. One for the pool and one for the water feature. There is a return for the water feature on the pool side so water circulates when pool pump cleans at night I believe. I verified that in the pool suction side, the water feature suction is turned off. The Hayward seal (similiar to Jandy) closing the suction from the feature, also was changed. The two check valves were also replaced. I had tried almost every possible valve combination. Suction off at the pool pump and the returns for water feature on, returns slightly on, returns completely closed. I filled the water feature “bowl” and turned the pump off. I closed all returns and still water goes down after about an hour. I can’t hear no gurgling water sounds at all. All o-rings on “Jandy like” valves had been changed. What am I missing? Could there be an underground leak? Here are some pics

It sounds like it’s on the filter pump side. The returns and suction would have to be labeled, since I’m not there I don’t know what goes where I can only guess. Start isolating each valve and see what turns on or off.

That is what I initially thought but the pool pump is not on when this happens. If I turn the water feature pump, it fills up and spills. Turn it off and it drains within an hour. The main drain suction is the pipe directly in front of the pool pump suction side. Next to it, to the left, is labeled water feature ( which is the turned off so it doesnt suction from that side. You could see it to the left and is shut by the jandy valve. To the right of the main drain is the skimmer and the main drain and skimmer are opened.
Right in front of the filter, in the return side of the pool there are 4 pipes. The first one from left to right has just arrows pointing from the ground up and from there it branches to the left to the cleaning valve/pipe. To the right there are three more pipes. Two of those just have arrows pointing down and the third one with the check valve says “Water feature return”

Probably one of the Jandy check valves. Looks like there are two in your system.
Does the water feature/old spa water level drain down to the same level as the pool?

both of the check valves were replaced. After the water feature pump fills the bowl and spills over, I turn off the water feature pump and within an hour or so it drops

Anything from the WF on the FP side should be used for cleaning purposes only. The WF pump should run the Water feature when you want. So focus on closing everything on the FP side. That still leaves 2 returns going to WF without a check valve. Figure out what those are. Don’t trust the labels verify what they are.

I will play with these and report back

The jandy valve door and o-rings that controls the main drain suction and water feature suction etc were replaced.
But were they replaced correctly?
Does the water fearure drain down to the same level as the pool?

Yes, same level as the pool. The valves door closes the ports it needs to close and rotate in the same direction as before. I tested rotation and “door” positions. and also verified the door was closing the correct ports, it won’t rotate correctly if installed wrong, correct? It rotates as before.

My bet is there is a leak in the check valve on the return side allowing water to bleed off to pool level when the pump is off.
Maybe open that check valve and be sure there isn't some debris in the flap and it is functioning corredtly.

Both check valves were replaced and there was no debris in the pipes :(. The only pipe that wasn’t shut down was the one with no label next to the pipe that says water return with the check valve on the pool return side. I will turn all off like suggested and test again.
