Hi all. First time having a pool over winter. I attached two pictures , first one is from when the pool was closed in November , second one is now. Seem to have lost about 6-8 inches of water over that period. That normal over winter? Obviously I Capped my return lines and skimmer I did notice during the windier fall days the cover isn’t air tight and it would be blowing underneath. Could the wind getting under cause evaporation? Guess I didn’t really expect to lose anything over winter but like I said, first time. Thanks for the help

Hard to say what is going on with your water level.

If it is a leak you didn’t lose that much.

If it is a leak, the water level stops where the leak is. So when you open the pool note the water level and look around the pool before you add water.

You will sort it out in a few weeks when you open the pool.

Good info. Thanks.
