Hi,
Our pool is finally nearing completion. Tiling was done recently. We're wondering where we should plan on having the water line (there is an automatic fill so we can set it to whatever we want). If we set it to half way on the 6" of 1" x 2" tiles the water would be about one half inch from the leading edge of the Dang wall for the automatic cover. We're concerned that we'd loose too much water over the Dang wall when people are in the pool. Would setting the level between rows 3 & 4 (numbering rows from the top), giving about and inch to the leading edge of the Dang wall be sufficient to keep most of the water in the pool?
Also, is the skimmer set to low? If the water level is set half way on the tiles the water level would be almost to the top of the skimmer. Is that a problem?
The reason for asking about the water level is if the level is set low enough on the tiles then we might want to add a couple more rows of tile. Also, we're thinking of having the pool floor raised as there is not enough shallow end (the floor slopes form 4' 2" to 5'10" over the first 15' of the 30' long pool (height is to bottom of coping). My wife being 5'4" wants more shallow end.
Thanks.
Dave.
