Water level in vinyl liner pool when closing

I have an inground vinyl lining pool that I'm closing for winter. I left the pump on a little bit too long and the water level dropped well below 2" below the jets. The lining has been in the pool 15 years and is pretty well stretched to form. If I keep the water level this low for closing should I be concerned about needing to replace the lining next year?

What's the best course of action at this point?

Add the water down till it is about four inches below the bottom of the returns.

Thank you, Allen. I concluded that paying for the mistake now (by correcting the water level) was a much better choice than paying for the possible consquences come next spring.
