Water level going down

Hi everyone,

The pool water level drops to the bottom of the skimmer. I have taken the pool skimmer basket out and looked for cracks but I cannot find any. I do know there is an issue because when
more water is added it goes right back down to the same level so it is not evaporation. Any ideas?????

With the pump running, any leak will cause the pool level to drop to the bottom of the skimmer. The key is, does it continue to drop with the pump off?

If the pump is off and the water drops to the bottom of the skimmer and then stops, the leak has to be in the skimmer or the suction pipe to the pump.
