Water is draining to right under skimmer

New to the pool world and completely puzzled on why my water keeps draining. I’ve tried 3 positions on the 3 way valve: the current position is the valve “off” short side on the west. All unsuccessful. Can someone please give advice?

We need a bit more. Do you know where the water is draining? Can you see where the water is coming from?

Since it is draining to the bottom of the skimmer, that likely means, If you can't see where the water is going, there is a leak in the plumbing going from the skimmer or the skimmer has a crack that is leaking. That is why it is leaking to the bottom of the skimmer.

Do you have one skimmer and one main drain, or two skimmers?
