No algaecide, no bleach, no other product other than liquid chlorine from the pool store.

Pool was green, shocked it heavily. FC was at 35 yesterday, so i’m thinking it’s still very high this morning.

Any idea what the foam is? There is enough chlorine in there so kill all the algae in Lake Ontario.

Follow the SLAM process. Print it out, read it three times, follow the process, and keep it with you. It will clear the pool. Link-->SLAM Process

Post a full set of results from your kit.

I know the SLAM process inside and out. I have done it a dozen times across multiple properties and have been a member of this forum for many years.

This is a specific problem I’ve never experienced before. Foam after a liquid chlorine shock.

That is why I'm asking for a full set of test results...help you figure it out.

Either way, SLAM will take care of it...

Update for anyone who finds this thread in the future; It’s the salt cell.

I have no idea why, but when the cell is turned off - no foam. Turn it on - foam again.

Please put the SWCG in your signature.

That is typical in cold, just opened pools. Not sure why, but common.
