About to drain the pool and do a bit of maintence. Biggest part of the project will be minor concrete repair, water feature/slide, pebble tec and cool deck.

Water feature: We had this repaired about 3 years ago and want to do some spot repairs on cracks. I saw the way they the did it before and I believe they mixed Hydraulic cement with concrete bonding adhesive in a thin mixture then painted with a brush into the cracks. That will work well with some cracks, but where gravity will not help pull the mixture in is there a concrete adhesive caulk or something equivelent I can use to dive the mixture into the cracks? Any suggestions are appreciated. I plan to spot paint the repairs with similar concrete stain used by the last contractor.

Also, one repair needs to be done in the gloss area of the slide. What should I use to recoat for a glossy slippery finish? The last contractor used some sort of clear coating and just brushed on. It’s held up to 3 years of AZ sun amazingly.

Pebble Tec: what is the best way to approach this crack and fill? Crack appears to be superficial. Looks like it was repaired 6 or more years ago by the prior owners.

Cool Deck: Any recommendations for what to use for this area? Knock the loose stuff off then use concrete patch and a close match concrete stain? The area around the pool is cool deck and Faux stamped flagstone.

See the post below for info on the slide. It's still holding up after the last work done in 2021. I apply a coat of Minwax at the beginning of the season. The coatings never lasted more than two years. The hydraulic cement and finishing wax is a much better solution.

You sure do have a lot of cracking there. On the slide and waterfall area I would say it's just too heavy for the pad/ground it sits on. The other cracks make me wonder if you have unstable ground from groundwater pumping or your clay soil. We've been lucky with ours even though it's built in clay soil and we water the lawn next to the pool all summer long.

It’s really not that bad, maybe the photos make it look worse than it is. The contractor that refinished it a few years ago said it was in better condition than 90% of the waterfalls he sees.
