I have an inground pool. My pool water is clear, but every few days, algae grows on walls. It is easily brushed off and a good vacuuming/cleaning takes care of everything making the pool quickly swimable but then the algae is back about 2-3 days later. Any remedies for this?

Welcome to the forum!
If you get algae, you are not maintaining your FC above the minimum required for your CYA level.
First, you need to do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test and likely follow that with the SLAM Process
To do that, you need a proper test kit. I suggest the TF-100 or Taylor K2006C. A proper test kit is needed to get the accurate water chemistry results needed to follow the TFP protocols.
I suggest you read through Pool Care Basics - Trouble Free Pool and even look at a few of our videos TFP-TV - Trouble Free Pool

In addition, I'll just call out that as part of the SLAM processing, brushing is important. Take out your ladder and scrub it if you can, if you have any lights in the pool, scrub the nice, scrub the skimmer box, weir door, etc.
