Water coming out in a stream from back of JANDY 3 WAY VALVE when tuned to any 90 DEGREE position

I have a JANDY 3 WAY VALVE that when turned to any 90 degree position squirts a stream of wate r when turned to these positions. Once i turn it so all water inlets are in a (T Position valve stops spraying stream of water. What is this hole on back with rubber grommet or bushing for? All help appreciatted.

That is likely the grease fitting.

The NeverLube valves have a lifetime warranty, the grey valves do not.

The grease fitting probably broke off and you can use a 1/8" npt plug to plug the hole once you remove the grease fitting part.

Heat up the tip of a flat blade screwdriver and tap the screwdriver into the part as shown in the picture.

Heating helps the screwdriver go into the plastic with less force.
