I know this is a personal preference.

Would you bother dropping TA?

current use has pH bounce 7.4 to 8.
FC 2.0 (adding half gallon of 12.5% when done swimming)
CC 0.0
TA 180
pH 7.6
CYA 40

AGP radiant 30’
21,200 gallons
South side of house
Centra NY

Thanks. Reading here I was under the impression I need to drop pH to 7.0-7.2 then aerate or I would be chasing pH.
Last year I never added MA.
this year I’ve been through two gallons already.

Slow and steady works too, areate if your bored. Either way your pool wlll eventually find a balance between TA and PH where the PH is either stable or at least rises slower. Mine likes 7.2 to 7.4. PH. Some run higher 7.6 or 7.8 or so.
