wanting to add another skimmer

i have a 16 x 48" above ground pool summer waves elite pool and was wanting to add another skimmer one will be for the sand filter and one will be for the pool vacuum so i purchased another sfx 1000 skimmer casing my question is will it work to cut another hole for the skimmer in the opposite end of the pool and am also looking to add 2 more return jets to the pool as well. The reason i want a skimmer for the vacuum is because we're on well water and cannot freely drain water through the sand filter

Vacuum through your existing skimmer, through the filter, returning the water to the pool. The skimmer basket catches anything big, and the filter catches anything too fine for the skimmer.

If you get a cartridge filter you will not have to backwash and will save more water...
