Scrubbing your pool to fix algae seems like more work than testing & adding liquid chlorine. My son & I enjoy it..he is my little lab assistant. Testing takes very little time. If you put your pool water in a beaker or something you can take it inside and do all your testing in nice AC hehe. We have an SWG so only add stuff (MA when pH needs to come down or LC when SWG needs a boost) occasionally but it does not take much time either when we do.
