walls and floor covered in ???

UPDATE:

fc 1.5-2
ph 7.0-7.3
ta 70
ch 300
cya 65

I added scale tec last Saturday, turned off swg, maintained 1.5-2 fc with bleach, kept ph low. on sunday floor was covered with small bright white specs which have since almost gone away. floor is almost clear, walls are looking much better, only a little farther to go. but i have been doinf a lot of brushing. I haven't been in pool since sunday so this is all by eye. I will confirm when I get in there. at this point if it didn't get any better I would be fine with finishing it up with a pumice stone.
csi has been between -0.6 to -0.7. how safe is that for 2-3 weeks?

thanks for all the help.

Have you considered a drywall sander? The screen-type sandpaper ought to loosen that stuff, and then you can vacuum it all up and backwash it away. There are even sanding blocks that attach to a pole. You might even be able to rig it to connect to the vacuum pole.

that's a great idea, I surely would have tried that last week. but if what im seeing by eye is actually what it is, it will only take me 10-20 to finish up with a stone.
